Gryffindor House was founded by a great wizard, Godric Gryffindor. He believed that magical learning
should be available to everyone. He, along with the three other greatest wizards of his age, founded Hogwarts School of Witchcraft
and Wizardry. The Sorting Hat once belonged to Godric Gryffindor. He created it to fairly sort the students into the House
that would be most appropriate for each student. Godric Gryffindor is still well-remembered to this day as being one of the
greatest wizards of all. He had a wizarding area named after him, Godric's Hollow.
Welcome to the Gryffindor Common Room. Boys Dormitory is upstairs on your right. Girls, the
same on your left. You will find that all of your belongings have already been brought up.
